Alright y’all I hope you’re hungry because it’s time to talk about one of my absolute, all time favorite (gluten free) meals in Disney: D-Luxe Burger! D-Luxe Burger is located in Disney Springs and serves, you guessed it, burgers. Disney Springs has been seriously upping their food game with each new edition but D-Luxe continues to reign as the number 1 can NOT leave Disney until we’ve been there food destination, here’s why!
D-Luxe Burger is tucked back behind the welcome center along the water giving it one of the absolute best views in Disney Springs. They always have the best low key music playing and looking out on the turquoise water, it’s just a remarkably peaceful, relaxing spot. Inside is decorated like a ranch with high high ceilings and rustic accents (Joanna Gaines would be proud of this place I’m sure!) and outside features galvanized metal tables and plenty of shade.
They do get quite busy at peak hours but between the two inside rooms and the large outdoor covered deck we’ve always found seating. The booths even have outlets with usb connections so you can recharge! Once you order they’ll bring the food out to you wherever you sit so be sure to grab utensils/condiments on your way to your table.
A quick allergy note… They do a great job here of consistently 100% of the time bringing a chef out to hear my order. They can do gluten free buns or lettuce wraps which are both delicious depending on what you’re in the mood for! David says the buns are one of the best parts for gluten-eaters but I like my gluten free bun just fine! The fries are gluten free (as long as they end up in the right bag, sometimes they put them in David’s bag and we have to ask for new ones but they’re always quick to fix it) and ALL of the amazing sauces are safe too!
First up, the fries. They are quite expensive (over $7 for a large) but they are definitely worth it. They’re crispy and fresh and just absolutely delicious PLUS you get as many sauces as you like, they have 6 to choose from but you can get them all if you want for no extra cost! My favorite changes depending on the day, right now I am loving the buffalo blue cheese but the horseradish and chipotle mayo are close seconds and the garlic ranch is also really good, so is the the three mustard & honey and the curry ketchup (yes that’s all of them, they’re all just so good!). You can also get regular ketchup and mayo if you want though. You order these at the register when you place the order, don’t be afraid to ask for whatever you want!
Okay, burger time right? They cook it to medium rare unless you ask otherwise and it comes out so juicy and flavorful and words are failing me, it tastes better than it looks and it looks pretty amazing I’d say so let’s leave it at that! I get the classic cheeseburger although sometimes I ask for extra cheese and extra lettuce (and sometimes bacon) but it comes with pickles, lettuce, and tomato too. Overall it is a messy burger but don’t worry, they leave out rolls of paper towels on every table haha! I honestly have never even tried the specialty burgers because I love the classic so much but they have some really amazing sounding ones (y’all there’s pimento cheese on the menu) so if you like to change it up let me know how you like them!
Final note: they do also serve milkshakes and adult milkshakes. I haven’t tried these but David has and he reports that they’re good but when you’re 2 minutes away from Sprinkles or Ghirardelli they’re not usually worth the sugar. Most of them also seem to contain some sort of cookie or cake element so I’m not sure if they have separate equipment to make them gluten friendly.
D-Luxe burger has, since the very first bite, been a staple for us. When we used to drive to Disney we loved driving directly to the lime garage at Disney Springs, hopping out, stretching our creaky bones, and b-lining it straight to D-Luxe. It’s a BIG meal (which worked since we didn’t get breakfast on travel days) and is just so good and satisfying and easy it was always the perfect way to start our trip. Do y’all have a traditional first stop when you get to Disney? Tell me about it in the comments and let me know if you’ve tried D-Luxe and what you thought of it!
